Our journey to natural wellness
Discover the story behind Bintou Herbal Tea, born from a personal journey and a passion for women's well-being. We believe in the power of nature to bring balance and comfort.

The story of Bintou Herbal Tea
Dried Bioleaf’s Bintou Herbal Tea is a traditional medicinal infusion made from the 100% Nenuphar green leaves, a plant that has been used for generations in villages
across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This herbal remedy has long been relied upon by women from the age of eight onwards to support menstrual health.
Bintou tea is designed to work gradually, helping to alleviate and, over time, eliminate the severity of menstrual cramps, muscle contractions, inflammation, and period pain, while improving overall well-being. It is especially suited for women who experience irregular menstrual cycles, painful periods, heavy flow, or symptoms associated with menopause, offering a natural and gentle alternative to conventional pain relief.
Bintou tea is deeply trusted by generations of women in my village in Kasai, DRC, including every woman in my own family. The Nenuphar green leaves thrive in the region’s ideal tropical climate, growing in naturally rich and fertile soil without chemical intervention.
The leaves are carefully hand-harvested, then washed, withered to reduce moisture, rolled to break down cell walls and encourage oxidation, and finally air-dried for one to two weeks. Once ready, they are packed without additives or processing and shipped to the UK, where they are further sorted, blended, and packaged into branded loose-leaf containers for consumers. This careful process preserves the tea’s natural properties and ensures a high-quality, authentic product.
